Since C's shifters are basically no longer available (or they are but at ridiculous prices).... the Z1 shifter is 2nd to none. My favorite part about the Z1 shifter isn't even the roller bearings, its the fact that the physical shifter assembly is 1 piece and therefore won't twist around and come apart or loosen while driving, an experience I've had with several short shifters in various cars.
